As a caregiver, you'll provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and everyday support that helps seniors continue living safely and comfortably at home. What you'll actually do
- Help with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility
- Keep clients company and keep their spirits up
- Fix light meals, help with feeding when it's needed
- Handle light housekeeping and laundry tied to the client's care
- Give medication reminders, where state rules allow
- Spot fall risks, help with transfers and walking
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings
- Notice changes in condition and report them fast
- Keep notes accurate and supervisors in the loop
- Follow the care plan, agency policy, and safety procedures
- Guard client privacy and professional boundaries, always
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
- 5 years or more verified experience in caregiving, home care, assisted living, or healthcare, preferred. CNA certification is a plus.
- Current CPR certification, or the willingness to get it
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance if the role involves driving
- Clean background screening and any required pre-employment testing
- Able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

Physical requirements
- Lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and take stairs through a full shift
- Help clients move and transfer safely
- Work comfortably in all kinds of home environments
